I did itttttt. I finally got this project out of my head!!
This Substack is for writers and content professionals who want to earn more and grow their careers in the age of AI but aren’t willing to give up all of their work, data, and creative and critical thinking skills to the digital gods.
You know, so your work stays *Writefully Yours*.

I’ve spent over the last decade working in tech, created and sold an award-winning blog that I built from the ground up, and pivoted away from my cushy software engineer job in 2022 to write and work on my own creative projects. I went from writing code to writing articles for sites like TIME NextAdvisor, CNBC, Business Insider, Salary Transparent Street, and CNET as a member of their Money Expert Review Board (even though I still code in my spare time with the other sites I run).
I know, it’s a totally weird way my career panned out, but I’ve always straddled the line between tech and a creative area like art or writing. I guess all of those Sailor Moon fan fiction writing skills from when I was 9 couldn’t release their grip on me. And for that, I am grateful.
While I’m very proud of my writing work up to this point, most of it has been pretty business-oriented. I didn’t give myself as much creative freedom as I should have, which is why I’m so excited about launching this project!
It’s taken me a while to get this out because l’m trying to make it as intentional and special as I can. I don’t want this content to be talking AT you. I want to chill with you and talk shop (and maybe get a little unhinged….no, scratch that, a lot unhinged).
I want to complain with you. I want to process weird industry trends with you. I want to learn with you. I want to celebrate wins with you. I want to share messy drafts and ideas with you. I want to share my best (and worst) work with you. I want to challenge the status quo with you. I want to protect your intellectual property with you. I want to grow with you and see all the cool shit we can do.
I’ve tended to approach projects in the past with a touch of chaos and stress. This time, I’m really making it a point with myself to continually step back and make sure I stay true to what I really want to do with this content (while also making sure I create a project I enjoy working on).
I’ll be sharing weekly writing tips, tools, income strategies, jobs and freelance opportunities, case studies from my first-hand experience, and a behind-the-scenes look into my own work as a technical, career, and finance writer.
We’ll also talk about ways to increase your own AI literacy as you navigate your career through a nauseatingly strange time in tech and the job market, ethical ways to use AI and other technologies, and the ways I use them. I also want you to share your own approach to AI (let the anti-AI and pro-AI rants begin!). I’m sure there’s a ton we can learn from each other.
There might be some kinks as I kick off things, as this is still very new, but we’ll work those out together. Anyway, I’m just glad you’re here and excited to nerd out.
See you next week!
Writefully Yours,
Daniella <3
